Veterans Caucus of the California Democratic Party Election 2019 Call for Nominations
In accordance with our bylaws, we will hold elections for officers and other executive board positions at the 2019 Annual Convention meeting at the CADEM Convention May 31st - June 2nd in San Francisco. There are ten offices, and we invite you to nominate yourself or another caucus member for one or more of the following ten positions. Use either the self-nomination formor the form to nominate another caucus member. Nominations are now open; we will accept nominations from now until the day of the election, which includes nominations submitted from the floor of the Annual Convention meeting itself before the caucus votes to end nominations. Each position has certain eligibility requirements established by our bylaws. Only candidates that meet ALL applicable eligibility requirements will be listed on the final ballot. All nominees’ eligibility is subject to verification by the Ad Hoc Elections Committee. Offices (and eligibility requirements) are as follows: Chair ( 1. member of caucus, 2. member of the Democratic State Central Committee (ie must be a credentialed CDP delegate at the time of the election), 3. veteran, 4. attended at least one meeting in year before election) 1st Vice Chair (1. member of caucus, 2. veteran, 3. gender different than chair unless no candidates of that gender grouping nominated)* 2nd Vice Chair (1. member of caucus, 2. veteran)* Treasurer (1. member of caucus) Secretary (1. member of caucus) Parliamentarian (1. member of caucus) Sergeant-at-Arms (1. member of caucus, 2. veteran) Northern Region Vice Chair (1. member of caucus, 2. veteran OR veteran dependent, 3. residency in Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Marin, Mendocino, Modoc, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo, OR Yuba Counties.)
